Welcome to the official site for the government and community of the Town of Markleville, Indiana. We appreciate you taking your time to learn more about our community.
Markleville is a small town of approximately 383 residents, located on State Road 38, in Madison County, Indiana. It is located within easy driving distance of Anderson, Pendleton and New Castle, as well as I-69 and the greater Indianapolis area. We like to think that our prime location, hardworking residents, and bucolic rural setting make our town one of central Indiana's "hidden gems."
The town government consists of a town council, park board, planning commission, and clerk/treasurer, and offers police and wastewater service to its residents. Our community features a post office, several unique businesses and industrial establishments, a generous amount of park and recreational features, and a charming housing stock.
Please take your time to explore the site and see everything we have to offer, and be sure to check back frequently for updates on official government business, local information, and community events.
